CLFE Unveils New Definition of Inclusion at I CAN-T.E.R Event

On June 8, Community Living-Fort Erie celebrated a significant milestone with the launch of its new definition of Inclusion. The event took place at the I CAN-T.E.R Farm, drawing an impressive turnout of approximately 100 attendees.
The new definition of Inclusion, “Equitable access to all opportunities where choices are valued and respected in a community where we belong” was developed through extensive consultation and collaboration with stakeholders. The definition aims to better reflect our organization’s commitment to fostering a welcoming and supportive community for all individuals. This initiative underscores Community Living-Fort Erie’s dedication to promoting diversity, equity, and belonging.

Attendees at the launch were treated to tours of I CAN-T.E.R, children’s activities, entertainment by Selena Carlson and a catered lunch. The event included an engaging and informative program, unveiling the new definition and highlighting the importance of inclusion in building a stronger, more connected community. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and optimism as Sandy Leemet/Executive Director reinforced the collective vision for a more inclusive future that focuses on individual choice.

Community Living-Fort Erie extends its heartfelt thanks to I CAN-T.E.R and everyone who attended and contributed to the success of the launch event.
