The month of May annually marks Community Living Month across Ontario.

On May 2, 2022 Community Living Fort Erie raised our flag at Fort Erie Town Hall in celebration!
 
Selena Carlson sang the National Anthem beautifully to “kick off” the ceremony.
Community Living Fort Erie staff, people supported and volunteers gathered together with Mayor Redekop to raise the flag.
 
Mayor Redekop congratulated Community Living on their dedicated service to the community and thanked staff for their hard work on promoting inclusion in Fort Erie.
Dean Demizio (Board President) announced that 2022 is a milestone year for our organization. “This year is a special year for our organization as we celebrate 65 years of service to the Fort Erie community” he added “we wish that our founders were here today so we could thank them for their hard work in those early years”

Self Advocate Soraya  Marashi Spoke about her involvement with our organization how supports have made a difference in her life. “Personally I am very grateful to be a part of such a caring and supportive organization” Soraya also thanked the Mayor for declaring May Community Living month in the Town of Fort Erie and for continuing to promote an inclusive community for people with intellectual challenges.
