First and foremost, we are celebrating all the joy that surrounds our caring and steadfast volunteers. Our organization blooms with support from all volunteers. On April 15th we will honour our volunteers at Fort Erie Secondary School, and be the recipients of a wonderful night including all the proud efforts from the Culinary class and staff there.
Thanks to new funding from the Ministry of Community and Social Services, many families were fortunate to receive new passport funds that assist with support for their sons/daughters at home.
This year our organization received funds from the Ministry of Community and Social Services to purchase a new group home for three young people in Fort Erie. This is truly exciting and we are most grateful!
We have completed our strategic plan and thank all members who gave input to this document which supports our goals and vision. The document will be on our website shortly.
We are looking for two new board members for the upcoming year which begins in June. If you are interested please call Maureen Brown to discuss what is involved in this rewarding experience. As a board member who will not be on the board next year, I reflect with appreciation all the support I have received from the board and the staff members at Community Living. You never know until you try and you will be part of a caring and competent team.
Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on June 23rd at the Fort Erie Legion.
May we all continue to assist an organization that truly puts people and their opinions first.
