Welcome to our Fall newsletter, I hope everyone
enjoyed the Summer and are ready to move forward to achieve our Vision and Mission for all the people we support and serve in the great Community of Fort Erie and area.
The Government of Ontario reaffirmed their commitment to the largest funding increase for developmental services ever. It allows for an investment of $810 million dollars over the next 3 years in new services and supports for people with developmental disabilities. Here at Community Living, Fort Erie we are very excited to learn more about the new funding and how we can utilize it to benefit the people in our area.
Our agency continues to look at new ways to deliver our services and to that end we are entering into another strategic planning exercise in October. We will be hosting an evening at the Legion in Fort Erie, where our stakeholders can participate in the process. So please mark your calendars for Thursday, October 16th at 5:30. A light meal will be served and the evening will be facilitated by Paul Muldoon, Consultant. I look forward to seeing you there and hearing what you have to contribute.
In this newsletter you will also have the opportunity to read about our upcoming and truly exciting fund raising event to be held on November 15th at the Leisureplex in Fort Erie. It is a wonderful and fun filled evening and I hope you will all consider joining us.
