The month of May annually marks Community Living month across Ontario, when we celebrate the gifts and talents that people with intellectual challenges bring to our community. On April 24th Community Living ~ Fort Erie made a presentation to Fort Erie Town Council.
R.J. Golding spoke to those in attendance. He stated, “Community Living~Fort Erie has stuck with me through the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. They believed in me and they helped me to believe in myself.” R.J. further commented, “Community Living staff have NEVER put any limits on my abilities. NOTHING IS AN IMPOSSIBILITY! They encourage me to follow my dreams and accomplish my goals.” “If I am willing to do the work… they are willing to do the work right beside me.”
The presentation was well received and the council declared the Month of May as Community Living Month. GOOD JOB R.J.!!
On May 1st at 9:00 AM Community Living~Fort Erie raised their flag at Town Hall where it flew for the month of May.
The flag raising event was well supported.
The Peace Bridge was lit up again in Blue and Green in honour of Community Living on May 12th. A special thanks to our board member, Ray Rosettani for making these arrangements.
THANK YOU FORT ERIE
