On June 1st, Delta-Uncle Sam’s Bingo held a Media Event to celebrate the $1.3 Million raised by Delta-Uncle Sam’s charities. There are over thirty charities represented in the Delta-Uncle Sam’s bingo hall.
To help celebrate this milestone Delta Bingo showed customer appreciation to all those in attendance with complimentary refreshments!!
The celebration was to recognize and celebrate the volunteers who have helped raise over one million dollars since C-Bingo started in October, 2014.
Volunteers attended in uniform to promote their charity and be congratulated for their effort in reaching this benchmark.
Representatives from OLG, OCGA, CGAO and the Town of Fort Erie attended. Councilor Stephen Passero performed the duties of Master of Ceremonies. Lynn Cassidy, the Executive Director of the Ontario Charitable Gaming Association introduced the representatives from OCGA, OLG, and CGAO.
When Rick Gray, one of the OLG representatives, addressed the crowd he said, “Our work is making a real difference in the lives of Ontarians” and promised to be back to celebrate the next milestone of $2.5 Million.
Mayor Wayne Redekop received the cheque on behalf of the Fort Erie charities. He thanked all in attendance and reminded everyone the furnishing in the Town Hall were purchased with bingo funds, many lives have been touched as well many changes in Fort Erie’s infrastructure” [is due to bingo funding]. Upon closing the mayor thanked the volunteers for “helping to make Fort Erie caring and beautiful community”.
